Omnipure Carbon Water Filter Cartridge Chloramine and Lead Removal

A sediment filter`s main purpose is to remove particulates from water. It is rated by a micron number which refers to the size of the particles that the  filter will trap. These are often required as a pre-treatment for other types of treatment such as reverse osmosis and carbon filtration. Keep in mind that sediment filters only reduce particulates. They do not remove chemicals or make the water taste or smell better.

This filter is a standard size 10″ x 2.5″ suits most twin undersink water filters we also have 0.5 micron sediment filters available.

Thie carbon cartridge is made from Coconut Shell Carbon, which creates a sweeter tasting water and is also rated for lead reduction for  9,800 litres. Because of the unique pore structure of this filter it is well suited for chemical adsorption, including VOCs, while treating for chlorine, chloramine and chemicals that contribute to taste, colour and odour. Rated for Cryptosporidium and Giardia removal it will treat the water up to 24,500 litres.
